Geoff Johns was wrong, that’s clearly more than three Jokers.

So it’s once again my turn to perform my civic duty and hang out at the courthouse to see if anyone needs me for a jury. Yes, getting stuck doing this on Wednesday is…a problem, but What Can You Do™?

Business will be back to normal here shortly.

  1. Mike: I’ve always thought voting and jury duty was important, yet my mom still gets jury notices and she is 93.

Chicago being how it is, though, I’d report for jury duty back in the day and…somehow they always knew my dad was a cop. This happened twice, for two different courthouses. The second one I just mailed back, explaining the futility of the first.

Never mailed another one. UNTIL my father retired. To the year. So there was some weird record keeping, but you can’t expect much when they aren’t weeding out 94 year olds.

    “This juror is excused!”

  4. I remember that story from the Greatest Joker Stories Ever Told collection. At one point Robin scares the “Joker” guarding him into running away by using tomato soup to make it look like he’s got smallpox.

Seemed quaint when I read it…
